Cornelius Hell, born in Salzburg in 1956, lives in Vienna as an author, critic and translator from Lithuanian.
His book ‘Lesezeichen und Lebenszeiten. Streifzüge durch Bücher und Biografien’ (Bookmarks and Lifetimes: Ramblings through Books and Biographies) was published in 2025.
Among other honours, he was awarded the Austrian State Prize for Literary Translation in 2018, an Elias Canetti scholarship in 2019-21 and the City of Vienna Journalism Prize in 2025.
Cornelius Hell stayed in Preggio in 2018 and will read texts that were written there or relate to it.
After studying law and music in her home city of Vienna,Teresa Indjein set off to live abroad, spending time in Milan, Nice, Warsaw, Washington, Berlin and Rome. Her work focuses on cultural diplomacy – building international bridges for Austria through the arts. Numerous publications. The book ‘Worte wie Musik’ is the first translation of Renzo Gherardini’s poetry into German.
